The computer literacy classes are classes designed to get you up to speed on basic computer terminology, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Currently the classes teach the Office 2003 suite of products but as soon as I get somebody to donate enough copies of Office 2007 (hint, hint) I'll begin teaching those products as well. Thanks to BrickerDigital for the setup of the network and the computers in the lab. Please take some time and take the poll about what classes you would like to see me teach next. |

The GED preparation classes are taught Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 to 6:30 at the Center of Hope of East Parker County. The classes cover the 5 basic areas covered in the Texas GED Test. These areas are, Mathematics, Physical Science, Social Studies, Reading Comprehension and Writing Composition. Each student has different educational needs and I adjust the curriculum to fit each student. The goal is to prepare the student for the GED test in the shortest time possible that is acceptable to the student. I understand that work and family commitments make attending class two nights a week difficult and will adjust the curriculum accordingly. I provide practice tests and materials which allow the student to become familiar with the test so that the student may be as prepared as possible. |
